China Tobacco tenders for nearly 4 million RFID tags

On April 15, Jiangsu China Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd. launched a domestic public bidding for the 2024-2026 raw material and finished product RFID Electronic Tags and supporting ribbon (two-year) project.

In the past two years, tobacco companies around the world have issued more and more RFID tenders. Last year, many China RFID companies also received orders from local tobacco companies. As an important way to digitize tobacco companies, RFID label is widely and deeply used in the tobacco field, covering all aspects of tobacco cultivation, acquisition, production, sales and logistics management. Specifically, the role of RFID sticker in the tobacco field is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

During the tobacco planting stage, RFID tags can be used to identify and track tobacco fields and crop information to ensure transparency and standardization of the planting process.

In the tobacco leaf purchasing process, RFID tags are used to uniquely identify tobacco leaves to facilitate subsequent variety identification, quality traceability and inventory management.

In the tobacco production process, RFID tags can be used to automatically identify and trace tobacco leaves to ensure product quality and safety. By attaching an RFID tag with a unique identification code to each tobacco leaf, each tobacco leaf can be tracked and recorded, thereby achieving comprehensive control and supervision of the tobacco production process.

RFID tags can also be combined with the tobacco industry cigarette production and operation decision-making management system project by affixing a barcode to each piece of cigarettes produced, scanning the code when out of warehouse, and scanning the code when enter the warehouse. Scan the code in the warehouse to enable the tobacco authorities to grasp purchase, production and sales information in a timely manner.
